Modular Workspace has undertaken the office fit-out project for the new head office of Advanced Computer Software Group. The project included the full construction of an office suite, meeting rooms and an open-plan workspace. New air-conditioning systems were installed, complete power and data systems, along with all Cat 2 Works, from carpet design to furniture procurement and installation.

The design scheme included investigating new ways of working such as introducing the key concepts of hot-desking and a move towards team structures. The growth of Advanced Computer Software in the last 7 years has seen them expand rapidly, acquiring multiple offices throughout the UK. The decision was made to relocate and centralise a significant number of these offices into central locations. The head office site was the first move and was used to define a new direction for the office environment Advanced wanted to create.

The firm took over a 20,000 square foot space in Langley, Heathrow. The Modular Workspace design team created a scheme that transformed this space into a light, spacious environment, optimised for the business flow and work processes, based upon observation of their old working methods. The space was split to allow easy access to communal areas, meeting rooms, and all facilities. An executive space was created for the management team that gave privacy by utilising floor to ceiling glass panels, without creating an obtrusive barrier that would have created a divide within the team. Ditton Park is set within a vast parkland estate, our designers wanted to ensure the vista made its way into the office, incorporating the design within the colour schemes, carpet and furniture. Interface have a carpet tile range, Human Nature, specifically designed to create natural environments within office space, allowing areas to be created without physical barriers. These areas can be used in conjunction with settings to give the team modern, flexible, efficient and cost effective work destinations.
